Local knowledge

Resort properties, gates, and somebody always watching the clock

Miramar Beach is dense. Condos, resort communities and short-term rentals packed close together, most of them behind a gate with its own rules about when contractors can be on site and where a truck can sit. None of that makes the tree work harder, but it does mean the job has to be planned around access and timing rather than just turning up.

The planting is what you would expect this close to the water: palms, sand pines, magnolias and a lot of ornamental beds that take a beating from salt on the exposed side. Palms are the single most common call — fronds and seed pods over walkways, pool decks and parking areas, where a falling frond is a genuine hazard rather than just untidy.

On the junk side it is turnover work. Furniture that has done its time in a rental, mattresses, and the accumulation that builds up in a unit nobody lives in full time.

Three things worth knowing before you call

Gate access and hours

Many communities here restrict contractor hours and parking. Tell us the rules and we will plan the job to them.

Palms over walkways

Fronds and seed pods above a footpath or pool deck are the most common job in Miramar Beach, and the easiest to leave too long.

Turnover timing

Rental clearouts between guests. Give us the window and we will tell you whether it fits.

Questions

Miramar Beach — common questions

Do you work with HOAs and property managers?

Yes, regularly. We can provide written quotes and work to whatever access hours and rules the community sets.

My community restricts when contractors can be on site. Does that stop you?

No. Tell us the window and we will schedule to it. It is far better to know before we quote than on the morning.

How often should palms be trimmed?

It depends on the species and how much traffic passes underneath. Where fronds and pods hang over a walkway or pool deck, most owners find once a year keeps on top of it.

Can you get a truck into Sandestin?

Usually yes with the right arrangements, but where we cannot get close we work in smaller sections and carry them out. It takes longer and we will factor that into the price rather than surprise you with it.

Do you clear out old rental furniture?

Yes. Sofas, beds, mattresses and outdoor furniture, taken away and disposed of properly, donated where something is still usable.

What payment do you take?

Card, cash, Cash App and Venmo, with financing available on larger jobs.
