Tree Removal

Tree removal in Bay, Walton, Gulf & Okaloosa County

Safe removal of trees of any size — including tight drops beside pools, fences and roofs. We plan the fall before we make a cut.

What’s Included

What a removal actually covers

A removal isn’t just felling a tree. Here’s what we do as standard, and what’s worth adding while we’re on site.

Assessment First

We look at lean, root plate, decay, and what’s underneath before we quote. If a tree can be saved with trimming instead, we’ll say so.

Controlled Sectional Removal

In tight spaces we take the tree down in pieces and lower them, rather than dropping it whole. Slower, and far safer for what’s around it.

Full Debris Removal

Limbs, trunk and brush hauled away. You’re not left with a pile to deal with.

Site Left Clean

Raked and tidied. One of our customers specifically noted we worked around a pool, shed, play set and fence with zero damage — that’s the standard.

Stump Grinding Available

The stump is the half of the job people forget. Cheaper to grind while we’re already there than as a return visit.

Storm-Damaged Trees

Leaning, split or partially uprooted trees after Gulf Coast weather. These need different handling and we’re set up for it.

Pricing

What drives the price of a tree removal

We won’t quote a number here, because anyone who does without seeing the tree is guessing. These are the four things that actually move it.

Size And Species

Height, spread and trunk diameter. A mature water oak and a slender palm of the same height are very different jobs.

What’s Underneath

A tree in open ground can be dropped. The same tree over a pool, fence, roof or power line has to be dismantled piece by piece.

Access

Whether we can get equipment close, or everything has to be carried out by hand through a side gate.

Extras

Stump grinding, hauling the wood, or clearing surrounding brush while we’re there.

Send a few photos — the tree, and what’s around it — and we’ll come back with a firm written price at no charge.

Questions

Tree removal FAQ

How much does tree removal cost?

It depends on size, what’s underneath, access, and whether the stump and debris go too. A tree in an open field and the same tree between a pool and a fence are completely different jobs. Send photos and we’ll give you a firm written price at no charge.

Do you take the stump as well?

We can, and it’s cheaper done while we’re already on site than as a separate visit. Mention it when you ask for the estimate.

Can you remove a tree close to my house or pool?

Yes. That’s what sectional removal is for — we take it down in pieces and lower them rather than dropping the tree whole. It takes longer and it’s the right way to do it.

What happens to the wood?

It goes wherever it genuinely belongs. Most to the appropriate disposal facility, and anything still useful gets donated rather than landfilled. If you want the wood kept for firewood, say so and we’ll leave it cut.

Are you insured for tree removal?

Yes. Cornerstone Property Services is licensed and insured, and we’ll provide documentation before work begins. With removals in particular, ask this of anyone who quotes you.

Do I need to be home?

Usually not. We’ll confirm the scope in advance and send photos when it’s finished.

Do you handle storm-damaged and leaning trees?

Yes. Leaning, split and partially uprooted trees are a regular part of our work here, and they need a different approach from a healthy removal.

“A very professional group. They arrived in a timely fashion and began work right away. As hot as it was outside they removed my six trees. They seem to never stop working to get everything cleaned up and nice…”
