Tree Removal in Panama City Beach, FL

Removals on tight coastal lots — between buildings, over pool cages and beside parking — taken down in sections and hauled off the same day where we can.

What we take out here

Mostly sand pines, and mostly for a reason

The removal we are asked for most often in Panama City Beach is a sand pine that has started leaning toward a building, or one that has died and is now standing over a car park or a walkway. Sand pines are shallow-rooted and short-lived compared with the oaks inland, and on sandy ground a wet season followed by a blow will move them.

A lean on its own is not automatically a reason to remove a tree. Many have leaned for years and are perfectly stable. What matters is whether the lean is new, whether the ground on the high side has lifted, and what is underneath it.

Access

The lot is usually the hard part, not the tree

  • Between buildings. Many beach lots leave little clearance either side. If a tree cannot be felled — and here it usually cannot — it comes down in small pieces on ropes.
  • Over pool cages. Screen enclosures do not survive dropped wood. Everything above one is lowered.
  • Getting the truck in. Narrow drives and in-season parking are a real constraint. It affects how long the job takes and we price that honestly.
  • Sandy ground. Soft sand affects where heavy kit can stand. Sometimes that means more hand work.

For owners who are not here

Absentee owners and rentals

A lot of Panama City Beach property is owned by people who are not in Florida. We are used to it. Send photographs and we can usually give you a workable number, then a firm price once we have seen it. We will photograph the finished work so you can see what you paid for.

If you want the stump gone as well, having it ground at the same visit saves bringing the machine back.

Questions

Panama City Beach — common questions

My tree is leaning toward the building. Is it dangerous?

Maybe not. A long-standing lean with settled ground around the base is often fine. A new lean, lifted soil on the opposite side or a crack at the base is a different matter. We will look and tell you straight.

Do I need permission from the HOA or the county?

Often, and it varies by parcel. We will flag when we think approval is likely to be needed, but obtaining it is the owner’s responsibility.

Can you work if I am not in Florida?

Yes. Photographs to start, a firm price after we have seen it, and photographs of the finished job.

Will you damage the pool screen?

Not if we are doing it properly. Material above an enclosure is roped and lowered, never dropped.
