Storm Damage Cleanup

Storm damage cleanup in Bay, Walton, Gulf & Okaloosa County

Downed trees, hanging limbs and the debris left behind after Gulf Coast weather. Cleared safely, and hauled away rather than piled at the road.

What We Handle

After the wind stops

Storm work is different from ordinary tree work. Damaged trees are under tension, unstable, and unpredictable — which is exactly why it’s the worst time to attempt it yourself.

Downed Trees

Across driveways, fences, roofs and yards. Cut, sectioned and removed without doing further damage on the way out.

Hanging Limbs

Widowmakers caught in the canopy. These come down eventually — the question is whether anyone is underneath when they do.

Leaning & Split Trees

A tree that shifted in the wind has a compromised root plate even if it’s still standing. We assess whether it can stay.

Yard & Debris Clearance

Brush, branches and everything the wind redistributed across your property.

Fence & Structure Access

Clearing what’s fallen so contractors can get to what needs repairing.

Hauled, Not Piled

We take the debris away. A pile at the kerb is still your problem — and after a big storm it can sit there a long time.

Before The Season

The cheapest storm work happens before the storm

Most of what fails in a hurricane was already weak. A walk-round before June is the difference between a trim and a removal — and between a removal and a roof repair.

Deadwood Comes Out

Dead limbs are the first thing to fly. Removing them is quick and cheap compared with what they can hit.

Wind Load Reduced

Correct thinning lets wind through the canopy instead of pushing against it. Not topping — topping makes it worse.

Weak Trees Identified

Hollow trunks, root damage and old storm injuries. Better to know in May than to find out in October.

Michael Is Still Working

Trees damaged in 2018 didn’t all fall in 2018. Plenty are still standing with compromised roots, and they are the ones that go next.

The Process

How storm cleanup works

01

Call Or Send Photos

Photos are ideal, but if a tree is on your house just call.

02

We Assess Safely

Damaged trees hold tension in ways healthy ones don’t. We work out the release order before cutting.

03

Cleared And Sectioned

Cut down in a controlled sequence so nothing shifts onto what’s still standing.

04

Debris Hauled Away

Not left at the kerb. Gone.

Questions

Storm cleanup FAQ

A tree is on my house. What do I do?

Call us rather than using the form, and stay out from under it. Don’t try to move anything yourself — storm-damaged trees are under tension and shift unpredictably when cut.

Do you clear debris even if you didn’t cut it?

Yes. If the wind brought it down and it’s sitting in your yard, we’ll haul it whether we cut it or not.

Why not just put it at the road?

After a widespread storm, kerbside pickup can take a long time. Meanwhile the pile is a hazard, an eyesore, and in some communities a code violation.

Will my insurance cover this?

Sometimes — it depends on your policy and what the tree hit. We can provide written documentation and photos of the work for your claim. We’re not insurance advisers, so check with your carrier.

Can a leaning tree be saved?

Sometimes. It depends how far the root plate lifted. We’ll tell you honestly rather than selling you a removal you don’t need.

When should I have trees checked before hurricane season?

Before June if you can. Work booked in calm weather is cheaper, and after a storm everyone in the Panhandle is calling at once.

Get Started

Storm damage, or getting ahead of it?

If a tree is down, call us. If you want it checked before the season, send photos — that’s the cheaper call.
