Land Clearing
Land clearing in Bay, Walton, Gulf & Okaloosa County
Lots and acreage cleared for building, fencing, or simply reclaiming ground that has gone wild. Trees, brush, stumps and debris — hauled off, not just pushed to the treeline.
What We Clear
From overgrown to usable
Most clearing jobs here are one of three things: preparing to build, reclaiming a neglected lot, or opening up land that’s closed in over the years.
Building Lots
Clearing a footprint so a builder can start. Trees down, stumps out, debris gone, ground left workable.
Overgrown Acreage
Rural lots that have closed in with scrub and volunteer growth. Common on inherited and long-vacant land.
Fence Lines
Opening a line so fencing can go in straight, without fighting through undergrowth every few feet.
Selective Clearing
Taking out what has to go and leaving the mature trees worth keeping. Clear-cutting a lot you wanted shaded is an expensive mistake.
Stumps And Roots
Ground out rather than left. A field of stumps isn’t cleared land — you can’t build, fence or mow it.
Debris Hauled Off
Not bulldozed into a pile at the back of the lot. That pile becomes a pest habitat and a fire risk, and it’s still your problem.
Before You Clear
Worth knowing before the machines arrive
Land clearing is the one service where a bad decision is permanent. A few things we’ll raise with you.
Permits And Rules
Some clearing needs permission, and rules vary by county and municipality. Check before you start — we’ll tell you when we think you should.
Keep The Right Trees
Mature shade trees take decades to replace and add real value. We’ll flag anything we think is worth keeping rather than just clearing to the line.
Erosion On Sandy Soil
Panhandle soil moves once the root structure is gone. On slopes and near water it’s worth planning what holds the ground afterwards.
Wetland Edges
Parts of Gulf and Bay County sit close to protected wetland. If your lot backs onto it, that boundary matters legally as well as practically.
The Process
How land clearing works
01
Walk The Lot
For anything beyond a small lot we want to see it. Acreage can’t be quoted from a photo.
02
Agree The Scope
What comes out, what stays, and how far down we take it. Written, so there’s no ambiguity later.
03
Clear And Grind
Trees, brush and stumps. Sequenced so we’re not driving over ground we’ve just cleared.
04
Hauled And Handed Over
Debris removed and the lot left in the state you agreed.

Questions
Land clearing FAQ
How is land clearing priced?
By acreage, how dense the growth is, tree sizes, and what happens to the debris. Hauling off costs more than leaving a pile, and it’s usually worth it. We’d want to walk the lot before quoting.
Do I need a permit?
Sometimes. It depends on the county, the municipality, the size of the clearing and whether wetland or protected trees are involved. Check with your local authority — and we’ll say if something looks like it needs permission.
Do you take the stumps out too?
Yes, where the plan calls for it. A cleared lot full of stumps can’t be built on, fenced or mowed, so it’s usually part of the job.
What happens to the trees and brush?
Hauled off to the appropriate facility. We don’t bulldoze it into a pile at the back of your property and call it done.
Can you clear part of a lot and leave the rest?
Yes, and it’s often the better choice. Tell us what you’re trying to achieve and we’ll suggest what to keep.
How long does it take?
A small lot can be a day. Multiple acres with heavy growth is a multi-day job. We’ll give you a realistic timeline with the quote.
