Local knowledge
Two very different jobs, depending on which side of 98 you are on
Santa Rosa Beach is really two places. South of 98 you have coastal planting on small, tightly packed lots — sand pines, palms and ornamentals, salt exposure, and neighbours close enough that everything has to be lowered rather than dropped. North of 98, around Mack Bayou, Point Washington and out along 393, the lots get considerably bigger and the trees get taller: mature pine, scrub oak and thick understorey on half an acre and up.
That northern half is where we do most of our land clearing in Walton County — building lots, fence lines and overgrown acreage cleared and hauled off rather than pushed into a pile and left. It is also where we see genuinely large removals, because there is room for the trees to have grown without anyone touching them.
Unlike much of 30A, a lot of Santa Rosa Beach is lived in year round. That means more ordinary property work — trimming that has been put off, sheds and garages that have filled up, and gardens that need bringing back under control after a wet summer.

Big trees with room around them

Questions
Santa Rosa Beach — common questions
Do you clear building lots?
Yes, and it is one of the main things we do north of 98. Trees and understorey cleared to whatever line you need, with the debris hauled away rather than left in a pile on site.
How is land clearing priced?
By the size of the area, how dense it is, and what has to come off the site. It is always an on-site estimate — photographs are not much use for acreage.
Can you take a large pine down in a tight coastal lot?
Yes. South of 98 that means sectional dismantling with a line on every piece, which takes longer than a job with room around it but is entirely normal work for us.
Will you haul off a pile I have already made?
Yes. Leave it as it is — no need to sort, bag or bundle it.
Do you cover Freeport and DeFuniak Springs?
Walton County is one of our four service counties, so yes. Call and we will tell you honestly how soon we can get there.
What payment do you take?
Card, cash, Cash App and Venmo, with financing available on larger jobs.
