What tree work in Panama City actually involves
Panama City is where most of our work happens, and the older neighbourhoods are where most of the tree work is. The Cove and St. Andrews have live oaks and water oaks that were mature long before the houses around them went up. They now sit over roofs, driveways and power drops, which means taking one down is a rigging job rather than a felling job — there is usually nowhere to drop a limb.
The other constant here is pine. A great many of the pines still standing in Bay County were damaged by Hurricane Michael in 2018, and some have been declining quietly ever since. A pine that lost its top or had its roots lifted can look fine from the kerb for years and then fail in an ordinary summer storm. If one is leaning over your house, it is worth having someone look before hurricane season rather than after.
On the junk side, Panama City has a lot of homes that have been in the same family for decades. Estate and property cleanouts — whole houses, garages and yards emptied in one go — are a large part of what we do in town.
Three things that shape the price here
Tight lots, big trees
Most Cove and St. Andrews properties have no clear drop zone. Our climber dismantles from the top with a rigging line on every section, which takes longer than an open-field fell and is priced accordingly.
Storm-weakened pines
Trees hurt in 2018 are still failing. Leaners, hangers and split tops are routine work for us, and a damaged tree is usually cheaper to deal with before it comes down than after.
Access for the truck
How close we can get the truck and chipper to the work makes a real difference. A back garden behind a narrow side gate costs more than a front yard we can back into.

Do you charge for an estimate in Panama City?
No. Estimates are free. For straightforward jobs you can send photos and we can usually price it without coming out. For anything close to a structure we would rather look at it in person.
How quickly can you get to me?
Panama City is the shortest drive we make, so it is usually the fastest. Timing depends on what is already booked, but estimates generally happen somewhere between the same day and a couple of days.
Can you remove a tree if there is no room to drop it?
Yes, and that is the normal situation in the older neighbourhoods. Our climber takes the tree apart from the top and rigs each section down under control.
Do you haul the debris away?
Yes. Everything goes unless you want to keep the wood, in which case we can cut it to length and stack it.
How do you price junk removal?
By volume and access — how much there is, and how far we have to carry it. Send one photo and we can usually give you a number the same day.
What payment do you take?
Card, cash, Cash App and Venmo, and we have financing available for larger jobs.
